I think I would more likely engage in “voluntourism ” than be a beg packer. That phrase is the combination of the terms volunteering and tourism. This sounds interesting to me and like something I would enjoy. Ive known some people that have participated in this, and I have seen countless celebrities doing it. I think it can be a great thing to do, as it seems the people who are taking these trips are really doing a lot for the places that they are visiting. A lot of times these people go to third world countries that are poor and do things for them like medical work, building places like schools, etc. I think its a really great cause and not only do people get to visit a new place and engage in tourism, they get to help people in need.
